Roller Coaster Contrast

This one took a little longer than I expected.  I had to redraw and erase quite a few times.  Mine isn't the best one, especially since I didn't color it.  But I hope you like it.

Bottle Landscape

This doesn't really need any explaining.  All I did was I got a few bottles and did a contour drawing of them.  I did get bored somewhat, and put in a few jokes here and there.  Hopefully that won't hurt my grade, that badly.

Animal Morphing Project

I finished 5 of the assignments, before it was canceled.  So I decided to put them up here, because I think some of them are really good.
Here they are in order from top to bottom:
    1. Robotic
    2.Tribal
    3.Cartoon
    4.Stretched
    5.Forced into circle

Hope you all like them

Color transition

I don't think I need to explain this one, it's basically the color bar I followed in order to create the "blue monochrome" project.  I added varying amounts of white and black to blue paint to get different shades and tints.

Blue monochrome

I had to recreate the drawing above, and do it in only one color. I chose blue, because her hair is originally blue, and well, it's the biggest part of her.  I mixed the blue paint with white and black, to create various shades of blue.  I don't know how well I got it right, but I'm pretty proud of it.

Branching Out With Shading

I tried to get down an expression of suffering and capture,  I don't really know how well I got it though.   The tree is divided into two parts, the bare skeleton hand emerging and grabbing the flourishing angel.  I tried to make it feel like the hand was jealous of the angel's beauty and is trying to keep her close to itself and try to gain it's leaves and flowers.

Animal project

I really can't make up my mind what animal I want to focus on for design class.  I've sorta been leaning towards spiders.  I haven't really found a picture that I really feel into yet, but as soon as I do I will post it.

Haruhara Haruko

I know this isn't for class, but my nerdyness is compelling me to post this.  This is a drawing of one of my all time favorite characters eating one of my all time favorite foods. LOL.

Arrows

I'm actually pretty proud of this one.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I did it while in the cafeteria at school when I had nothing to do.

Echoes

Hello, ello, llo, lo.
........Sorry, I thought it would be funny.  Oh well, I basically started this by putting my marker on the paper and closing my eyes and randomly moving my hand.  Then I just echoed that line.  I did put some other smaller lines in it to fill up the page.  I also added color to make it look kinda good.

Directional Lines

I finished the Directional Lines project, well kind of.  It seems like I didn't do enough.  Heh heh.

Expressive Lines

I have read the directions for this project, and I hopefully did it correctly.  I got kinda nervous because I was looking at other's drawing, and mine looks "somewhat off ".  Please comment on it.

Inspiration

I'm supposed to write about the famous artists I admire, but me being a huge nerd I don't really pay attention to the artists most people would call famous.  I actually like comic book artists.  My favorite artists are Yuna Kagesaki, Yabuki Kentaro, and especially Tite Kubo.  Tite Kubo is actually the one I'm going to write about in this blog.  He has created the manga "Bleach" which is one of my all time favorites.  He is one of the reasons I desired to become a comic book artists.  I really admire Tite Kubo.
